Man in his 60s currently being treated following serious crash in Droitwich

A MAN in his 60s has been left with what is believed to be serious injuries after he was involved in a car crash today (Friday).

Emergency services were called at 12.20pm to the junction of Roman Way and the A38 to reports of a collision between a black BMW  and a white moped.

The man was airlifted to hospital with pelvic and head injuries and there is currently heavy traffic in the area due to one lane being run around the island.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “The rider of the moped, a man believed to be in his 60s, was lying on the road, near to a roundabout, when crews arrived.

“The man, who remained conscious throughout, had suffered serious injuries including a suspected fractured pelvis.
