Man and woman rescued from floodwater in Droitwich's Shell Ford

A MAN and a woman were rescued by fire crews after becoming atranded in floodwater in Droitwich yesterday (Sunday).

The incident happened around 1.25pm in Shell Ford off Earls Common Road, Himbleton.

Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service (HWFRS) sent a crew from Worcester Fire Station, water first responders from Droitwich and boat crews from Worcester and Evesham.

 

A water sled was used to transport them to dry lans where they were handed over to West Midlands Ambulance Service paramedics.

West Mercia Police also attended.




The car remained in the flood water and road closure signs were repositioned.

The incident was dealt with by 3pm.
