Man arrested on suspicion of arson after fire at Droitwich shop

A MAN has been arrested following a fire at a Droitwich shop which police believe was an arson attack.

The incident happened at 11.50pm last night in Blake Avenue.

The fire service also attended the blaze and fortunately no-one was injured.

Police have confirmed a 35-year-old man from Droitwich has been arrested on suspicion of arson and is currently in police custody.




A spokesperson said: “Enquiries are ongoing and investigating officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident, or any suspicious behaviour in the area at this time.”
