Man dies after collapsing in Lido Park

A MAN has died after collapsing in Droitwich’s Lido Park.

West Midlands Ambulance Service were called to the park on Worcester Road at 9.23am on Tuesday, April 2 after reports of a man in his 70’s in a critical condition.

When emergency services along with a Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford attended the scene, the man was being cared for by bystanders.

Despite the best efforts of the ambulance staff, nothing more could be done to save the man and he was confirmed dead at the scene.

The man’s identity or cause of death has not been confirmed.

West Mercia Police, who were also in attendance, confirmed the man’s death was not being treated as suspicious.
