Droitwich Editorial 29th Oct, 2019   0

THE MAN responsible for restoring Droitwich’s St Mary’s Churchyard to its former glory has had his shovel stolen.

Kevin Hyett contacted the Standard today after discovering his shovel, which has ‘HFS’ engraved on it, missing.

He said: “It’s not the first time my tools have been stolen either.

“I’ve had my wheelbarrow and various other items stolen within the last year but the police have never done anything about it.

“We’ve also suffered problems with vandalism too.”

Kevin’s shovel has a small wooden handle and is made from hard metal.

It is believed the shovel was taken sometime between 12pm and 6pm on October 28.

Anyone with information on its whereabouts can contact the Standard anonymously by emailing [email protected]
