A PROLIFIC burglar who targeted homes across Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Gloucestershire has been jailed for three years.

Christopher Brown, of Denman Avenue in Cheltenham, appeared before Worcester Crown Court, where he pleaded guilty to multiple counts of burglary across the three counties.

The court heard how Brown targeted a number of properties, causing distress to victims and significant disruption within local communities.

The 23-year-old admitted to breaking into properties in Ladywood in Droitwich, Church Road in Crowle, Ross on Wye, Tewkesbury and Moreton-in-Marsh between October last year and January.

Det Con Will Goode said: “The sentencing of Brown to three years reflects both the seriousness of his offending and the dedication of our team in bringing him to justice.

“With hard work and determination, we were able to quickly identify, arrest and place Brown before the court, ensuring a swift outcome in this case.

“Burglary is an intrusive crime that causes significant harm and distress to victims, as well as fear and disruption within the wider communities where these offences took place.

“I hope this sentence provides some reassurance to those affected and demonstrates that we will act decisively to protect our communities and hold offenders accountable.”
