DROITWICH residents have been warned to be on their guard against bogus callers after a man randomly called at an address in Fernhill Heath.
It happened about 4.30pm on Thursday (October 13) when the man approached the property in Station Road and knocked on the door.
The woman opened the door slightly so her dog did not get out and the man was taken aback and leant on the door.
He could not come up with a valid reason why he was at the address which caused the woman to be alarmed.
She said he was acting very suspiciously and when she told him she was not interested he left.
He did not go to any other address in that road.
The man was a white man, 6ft 1inch tall, in his late 40s, with short mousy brown hair. He had broad shoulders, a black puffa jacket and jeans.
He also had red flakey skin on his cheeks and was carrying a black shoulder bag.
Anyone who encounters this man or anyone with any information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
