Man pleads guilty to murder of Droitwich woman Amy Griffiths

A MAN has pleaded guilty to the murder of a woman whose body was found at her flat in Droitwich.

The body of Amy Griffiths, who was 51, was discovered by police officers at the property in Chalverton Court on January 14, 2019. She had head and throat injuries and sadly, was declared dead at the scene.

Martin Saberi was arrested by police officers in Hackney, London, just three days later on January 17.

Saberi, aged 55 and from Brackley Close, Wallington, Surrey, also admitted a Section 18 wounding when he appeared at Worcester Crown Court yesterday.




He will be sentenced on 11 March.

Det Ch Insp Carl Moore said: “This was an extremely violent attack and we are pleased to see the defendant plead guilty to both Amy’s murder and as well as a vicious attack in London.”
