THE MET Office has issued a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms across Droitwich and the rest of Worcestershire tomorrow (Saturday).

According to the forecast, there will be light rain through the night until 7am and again at 10am.

But then, from 11am, there is between an 80 and 90 per cent chance of heavy rain which is expected to last well into the afternoon. It will then turn light again for the remainder of the day.

Temperatures are predicted to be between 10°C and 15°C.

The Met Office warning is in place from 9am to 6pm tomorrow.

Driving conditions will be affected by spray, standing water and/or heavy rain, leading to longer journey times by car and bus.

There are probable delays to rail services and there could be damage to buildings and structures from lightning strikes.

And there maybe even power cuts.
