YOUNGSTERS from Westlands First School received a special visit from MP Nigel Huddleston who came to see their newly refurbished library.
Mr Huddleston took a tour of the grounds before meeting some of the students and seeing the library which had been moved to the centre of the school from its previous location in a bungalow next door.
The staff also gave up their own time to decorate it with an under the sea theme.
Mr Huddleston said: “It was an absolute pleasure to join teachers and pupils and have a tour of the school buildings.
“This is my second visit to the school and I was really impressed by the changes to the library area and Rainbow room which have added brightness and energy to an already vibrant school environment.
“The children I met were all well behaved and happy and it is very reassuring to see the school thriving under the new headteacher, Rachel Roberts.”
