WYMSICAL Theatre is putting on performances of the musical- mystery- comedy ‘Curtains’ at Droitwich’s Norbury Theatre this week.
Performances of the Kander and Ebb piece start today and run until Saturday, February 24.
Shows start at 7.30pm each day apart from Saturday when the curtain goes up at 6pm.
Tickets are £12 and £14 each.
This whodunit is billed as ‘a laugh-a-minute musical with catchy songs, hilarious characters and dastardly plot twists’.
Set in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1959, it begins with the murder of an untalented actress Jessica Cranshaw, who is killed during her opening night curtain call of the show Robbin’ Hood of the Old West.
The case is handled by Lt Frank Cioffi, a police detective who moonlights as a musical theatre fan. He is tasked with solving the case, saving the show and maybe finding himself some romance along the way whilst avoiding getting killed himself.
