DROITWICH residents can learn life-long culinary skills on a free course.
The Cook4Life sessions run from 9.30am to midday every Thursday at Westlands Community Hall, Meadow Walk.
They start this Thursday, January 11 and run weekly until February 15.
The community cooking group is aimed at helping people get a taste for healthy eating, learn how to cook nutritious and delicious meals and save money on food bills.
The sessions are being held as part of the Droitwich West project which is led by Wychavon District Council
David Manning, Wychavon’s community programme manager, said it was one of many schemes introduced as part of the three-year scheme to improve the health, wellbeing and life chances of those living in Droitwich West.
“It’s free, it’ll be fun and friendly, so come along on your own or bring along someone you know and become part of our community cooking group.”
Participants must be 19 or over.
To book a place telephone 01905 844152 or go to www.worcestershire.gov.uk/adultlearning and follow the ‘Health, Home and Wellbeing’ link. Spaces are limited so booking is essential.
More information is also available from the staff at Droitwich Library.
