New noticeboard to keep Salwarpe residents up-to-date

Droitwich Editorial 15th May, 2015 Updated: 17th Oct, 2016

SALWARPE residents will be able to keep up to date with community news thanks to a new noticeboard.

Housing developer Bellway donated the display unit to the parish council and it was installed on Newland Lane after work began on 63 new homes.

It means new and older residents can check up on events and meetings taking place in the area at the bottom of the road.

Deputy chairman of the council, Barbara Meddings, said: “The noticeboard will help to integrate new and existing residents into the area and hopefully encourage them to come together and take part in meetings and community events.

“Bellway appreciated the need for a local community noticeboard and we would like to thank them for their generous donation.”

Bellway sales manager, Kevin Brogan said: “The noticeboard looks great and we hope it will encourage our residents to get involved with events in the community.”
