New solar LED's lighting the way for visitors in Vines Park

NEW lighting installations in Droitwich Spa’s Vines Park are now illuminating the way for evening strollers.

Solar-powered lights are now brightening the pathways and enhancing the parks accessibility of a night time.

The lighting scheme, propelled by the Droitwich Spa Place Board and funded by Wychavon’s share of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, marks the latest install in a line of upgrades to the town’s parks.

Solar lights were also installed in Droitwich Spa’s Lido Park in October 2024, and this installation has since been extended around the tennis court and up to the cricket club.

Councillor Richard Morris, executive board member for economic growth and tourism at Wychavon, described the lighting as a ‘fantastic addition’ to the park which creates a ‘beautiful atmosphere’ to complement the space.

He added: “They really are something that must be seen.”

Matt Nicol, chair of the Droitwich Spa Place Board, spoke of Droitwich Spa’s parks being a major draw for the town, attracting plenty of vistirs and serving as popular daytime destinations.

He added: “This new light trail has enhanced the appeal and visitor experience during the evening as well, making the park feel even safer and more inviting.”
