THE NEW Witton Post Office officially opened in the Nisa, 7-9 Oakland Avenue, Droitwich, on Friday, writes Ben Workman.
The move was needed after the previous postmaster resigned at the former premises in Worcester Road.
The new counter has increased opening hours and is available from 7am to 9pm Monday to Saturday.
It is also open between 8am and 9pm on Sundays from 8am-9pm. It is hoped the longer opening hours will make it more convenient for customers.
Post Office change manager Neil Jenkins said: “We are delighted to have safeguarded a Post Office for this area.”
The new Post Office offers a range of services including collecting and returning online shopping packages and cash withdrawals, as well as posting letters and parcels.
