Nigel Huddleston MP send thoughts to those looking after others in Christmas message

Droitwich Editorial 25th Dec, 2022   0

IT HAS been an exceptionally busy and eventful year, and I know many of us are looking forward to a break over the holiday period.

We have faced some great challenges this past year, such as the Russian invasion of Ukraine, rising inflation and the passing of our beloved monarch, Queen Elizabeth II.

But there has also been much to celebrate, including the Platinum Jubilee Celebrations, the Lionesses’ magnificent victory in the Women’s Euros and the incredible Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.

As the year draws to a close, I’m sure that many will be seeking a peaceful and restorative break.

My thoughts go out to all of those who will be giving up parts of their Christmas to look after others, in particular our armed forces and emergency services workers for whom I know this period can be very challenging.

Christmas has always been a very special time for my family.

However you are spending the festive season, I hope you can enjoy some time to reconnect with your friends and loved ones.

I wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy new year.
