Officers shed light on large police presence at Droitwich Station yesterday afternoon

POLICE were called to Droitwich Spa railway station at 3.30pm yesterday afternoon after commuters expressed concerns for the safety of a woman on a bridge.

The Standard was contacted by a number of other people who were worried about the ‘large police presence’ at the station.

A British Transport Police spokesperson said the incident was concluded later that afternoon when the woman was taken to a place of safety.
