OLDER people in Droitwich will be raising a cuppa to toast HM The Queen’s 90th birthday.
A special coffee morning, organised by the Droitwich Spa Area Forum for Older People (DSAFOP), will be held at The Old Library from 10am to midday on Thursday (April 21) – the date when Her Majesty reaches the marvellous milestone.
Tea, coffee and cake will be available for £3.75 with the proceeds going to the town council to help fund the free concerts in the Lido Park which are enjoyed by people of all ages.
The coffee morning is being supported by Morrisons and St Andrews Shopping Centre but the group would be grateful for any donations of raffle prizes.
Jill Edwards from the DSAFOP said: “Everyone is welcome to come along to mark the 90th birthday of our longest serving monarch. We are proud to support the Lido Park concerts and hope to see as many people there as possible at the coffee morning.”
For more information or to donate cash or raffle prizes, call Jill on 01905 798440.
THE BELLS at St Peter’s Church in Droitwich will ring out on Thursday evening (April 21) in celebration of HM The Queen’s 90th birthday.
