Older residents can find out about a new co-housing development

OLDER residents from can find out about a new co-housing development in Bradley Green at a special open day.

The event, between 10am and 2pm next Saturday, August 17, will shed light on The Lion and Lamb scheme, Droitwich Road, which is aimed at bringing like-minded people aged 55 and over together to create their own caring community.

Visitors can find out how to become part of this type of scheme which is growing in popularity across Europe.

Wychavon council is supporting the project by helping to form the group that will live in and manage the scheme as part of its community-led housing drive.




Co-housing began in Denmark in 1972 and initially spread to Sweden, Netherlands and Germany before sweeping across other parts of Europe and then into America, Australia, New Zealand and Japan.
