Ombersley Car Show set for big return to celebrate hall's centenary

Droitwich Editorial 10th Jul, 2023   0

THE THIRD annual Ombersley Car Show takes place on Saturday, July 15, writes Emily Allbutt.

The event – at the Ombersley Memorial Hall from 12pm to 5pm – will be held in honour of the venue’s centenary.

The hall was originally opened in 1923 to commemorate the lost lives of village men.

Now a thriving part of the community, the hall is hired throughout the year by local groups, for weddings and many other celebrations.

This year’s car show will be attended by more than 100 veterans and showcases vintage and classic cars, motorbikes, and trucks.

One of the cars on display is a 1962 Daimler SP250, which was completely rebuilt by its owner – an Ombersley resident – over the last couple of years.

Alongside the cars, stalls of locally-made artisan products, raffles, a bar, and a food court with barbecues and wood fired pizzas will also be available.

And the local choir, Voices Unlimited, will be performing during the show.

Admission is £2 per adult and children go free.
