Ombersley Car Show set to return with even more vehicles

AN ANNUAL classic car show in Ombersley is returning with another showstopping collection of vehicles to delight visitors this summer.

Ombersley Car Show on Saturday, July 13 – at the Ombersley Memorial Hall from 11am to 4pm – will be held in honour of the venue’s continued and storied history.

The hall was originally opened in 1923 to commemorate the lost lives of village men. Now a thriving part of the community, the hall is hired throughout the year by local groups, for weddings and many other celebrations.

As a charity, the hall depends on a dedicated band of local volunteers and events to provide funds for the upkeep of the building.

This year attendees at the Ombersley Car Show can expect over 140 veteran, vintage and classic cars plus motorbikes and trucks and new for this year -an area dedicated to supercars.

The show will be opened by the Air Cadet Band and entertainment will be provided by the amazing local choir Voices Unlimited and Saltroad (Country and Western music).

A shopping area will play host to locally-made artisan products and food. The community tea shop within the hall will be offering a range of home-made cakes, tea and coffee.

A £100 cash prize is up for grabs for the winner of the “Guess how many balloons are in the car” competition and to keep children entertained, there will be a bouncy castle and slide next to the existing play area.

This is a dog friendly event for well-behaved pooches on leads. Free car parking will be clearly signposted with a few disabled spaces in the hall car park itself. Advanced notice required if you need one.

Entry is £3 per adult and children are free. Contact Ann Dorn via phone or 07712 811552 email [email protected] for more information.
