THE deadline for parents to submit an application for their child’s school place is this Sunday (January 15).
Parents of any youngster due to start primary or first school this September need to get their applications in by the deadline to have the best chance of getting their preferred choice.
Applications can be submitted online by visiting www.worcestershire.gov.uk/schooladmissions
Coun Marc Bayliss, cabinet member for children and families said: “It’s not too late to apply for the school of your choice but if you don’t get your applications in before the closing you may not be offered a place at your chosen school.
“Applying online is quick, easy and safe for your child with all information confidentially handled.
Changes can also be made up to 12 midnight on deadline day if you change your mind.”
Parents without computer access can contact the Worcestershire Hub who will be able to help the parent set up their own email address and assist them as they complete their own online application.
Paper forms can also be sent out on request for parents to complete if they are unable to apply online.
Offers are made in writing, electronically by the home local authority and emailed to the parents via the email address they provided when registering. Parents with no access to a computer will have their offer posted to them.
