DROITWICH Spa Area Forum for Older People met for one last time this week before the group folded after more than 20 years.
Members have not managed to meet in person since March 22 last year because of the pandemic.
Five members have passed away in that time and, although there were still between 30 and 35 left, they took the decision to call it a day.
The group – also affectionately known as the ‘Stay Young Club’ – met at their usual venue – Muffin Break in Droitwich town centre – for a sandwich lunch, tea and cake.
Sheila Neary, from the forum, said: “It was absolutely lovely to meet up after more than a year.
“It was a very sad occasion for us but we wanted to meet up one last time.”
Any funds left over from the club will be given to Community Cars.
