ONE DRIVER was injured and four more had lucky escapes this morning after two crashes in Droitwich.

The first happened on Amphlett Way in Wychbold near the southbound Junction 5 of the M5.

Both drivers were able to walk away from that one.

The second, involved three cars, happened in Church Road, Bradley Green.

A woman in her 50s was treated by paramedics at the scene for a head injury and lower back pain. She was immobilised in a neck collar and had wounds dressed before she was taken to Redditch’s Alexandra Hospital.

The other two, including a man in his 20s, were assessed at the scene but then discharged.

A West Mercia Police spokesperson urged drivers to take care on the roads, especially at this time of year when conditions can be more challenging.
