WYCHAVON District Councils has flown the flag to mark national Armed Forces Day.
On Monday (June 20) a ceremony was held at the Civic Centre in Pershore to recognise the contribution by the military communities past and present.
Cadets, ex-military personnel, members of the Royal British Legion and civic guests all gathered together around Wychavon’s flag pole and after prayers, blessings and the Last Post, there was one minute’s silence followed by the raising of the flag. The flags will fly for the week leading up to tomorrow’s Armed Forces Day.
