POLICE closed a main road in Droitwich on Saturday night due to cars dangerously racing along it on Saturday night.
Officers from West Mercia Police received several reports around 8.30pm of cars speeding up and down the Kidderminster Road from the Westlands roundabout.
Some people also told police there were a number of people watching.
When officers arrived at 8.45pm, the cars involved had left the area but there were still several people on the path.
The police shut the main dual carriageway at the Westlands roundabout while officers carried out area searches for the vehicles involved.
Back in 2021, special dispersal orders were put in place on that stretch of road between the Westlands roundabout and the ‘Big Bear’ island and also in Worcester because of street racing.
