Police linking car break-ins in Droitwich

THE SAME criminals are being held responsible for breaking into six cars in Droitwich in just two days.

A Blue BMW parked on Percheron Way was targeted by thieves between 10pm on Sunday (April 26) and 6.15am on Tuesday (April 28).

A 16GB Apple iPod worth £235 with a lead and case were taken along with a £175 Garmin sat nav and case. Some Hugo Boss prescription sunglasses costing £190 were also stolen.

Criminals then took a £580 Cannondale mountain bike from a Vauxhall Vivaro between 11pm on Monday (April 27) and 6am on Tuesday (April 28).




The car which was parked on Arkle Close was also damaged on its driver’s side door.

A child’s scooter worth £100 and a £20 bluetooth speaker were stolen from a Black BMW parked on Corbett Street, along with two bottles of milk from the doorstep.


In another incident, CDs and £10 in coins were taken by thieves from a Renault Scenic parked on a drive in Shire Way.

An iPhone cable was also taken from a Volkswagen Polo parked on a driveway of Foxhunter Close.

Inspector Janet Heritage said: “People should get into the routine of checking their front and back doors, shutting their windows, making sure their cars are locked and that their alarms are turned on, if they have one, before they go to bed.”
