POLICE officers investigating the unprovoked attack in Ombersley which left a 70-year-old man with serious life-threatening injuries have re-appealed for information.
And the force wants anyone with dashcam footage of the area at the time to get in touch.
It happened on August 15 when two men forced their way into a property in Oldfield Lane, shortly after 10.30pm.
They ransacked the building and the attack on the man left him with severe injuries and he is still in hospital.
As part of their ongoing investigation, officers are keen to speak with anyone who was driving on the A449 Ombersley or around the Ombersley area between 9.45pm and midnight on that day.
Det Insp Chris Percival said: ”The assault is a very serious incident and has understandably generated significant concern for local residents.
”I would like to reassure the community that we take all reports of this nature extremely seriously and a thorough investigation is underway.
”We have a number of active lines of enquiry attracting high levels of police resources and associated activity in the area.
”We’re particularly keen for anyone who was travelling in the area between 9.45pm and 12pm and who may have dashcam footage to get in touch as they may be able to help us.
”Any details – no matter how small they may seem – could be significant to our ongoing investigation.”
