POLICE are trying to track down a man who jumped into the River Severn at Worcester Bridge just before 1.15pm today.

Officers have reviewed the CCTV in the area and it is believed the man (pictured) swam up the river towards Diglis.

Police believe there he got out of the water and then walked along Severn Street.

Insp Andrew Holliday said: “Officers attended the river to try and locate the man along with the ambulance service and fire service.

“We would ask that if you know the man pictured or if he himself reads this, then to please to get in touch with us so that we are able to check his welfare and ensure his safety.”

The man or anyone with any information should call police on 101 or get in touch via the ‘Tell Us About’ section of the website here.
