Police seeking sex offender who could be in Droitwich

A SEX-OFFENDER, who is being sought by police after failing to tell officers he had moved addresses, could be in Droitwich.

In October 2008, Kye Calder, 25, was sentenced to four-and-a-half years in prison and was ordered to sign the sex offenders register indefinitely.

Calder was living in Kidderminster, but it is believed that he no longer lives there and he has failed to tell police where he has moved to – something he must do as part of his sex offender notification requirements.

He failed to appear at Worcester Magistrates’ Court on November 7, where he was due to face one charge of assault, one charge of harassment and one public order offence.

Officers are now trying to find him and, as well as Kidderminster, Calder has links to Droitwich.

DS Mark Roberts said: “We take any breach of notification requirements very seriously.

“I would urge anyone with information about where Kye Calder might be to contact us. If he sees this appeal himself, I would urge him to hand himself in to police immediately.”

Anyone who sees Calder is advised not to approach him but to dial 999 straight away.

Alternatively, information can be given to the independent charity, Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111 or via
