POLICE officers have visited Droitwich’s St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Droitwich to speak to the children about road safety.

PC Osborne and PCSO Patricia Holland gave students in years two, four and five lots of advice around how to stay safe and provided them with fluorescent reflectors for both their arms and their bikes.

The officers said: “We are keen to ensure all our students in Droitwich can enjoy the benefits of a walk to and from school whilst keeping themselves safe from the dangers posed by busy roads.”

Following the visit, foot patrols were undertaken on St Joseph’s Close, alongside the civil enforcement officer.

And West Mercia Police wants parents to know that, while collecting their children from school, they also have a responsibility to park safely and legally.

“Thanks again to St Joseph’s for their hospitality, we look forward to another visit soon,” added the officers.
