A POPULAR Droitwich job fair will return to the town for the second year running.
The free event, originally launched last year after the closure of the town’s job centre, will take place on January 30 at the library in Victoria Square.
Organised by Fortis Living, which provides more than 15,000 homes throughout Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Gloucestershire, it is the only job fair in Droitwich.
Nicola Tremble, employment support worker at Fortis Living, said: “As a housing association, we are keen to ensure those residents seeking employment have the opportunities to do so.
“Such was the success of last year’s event that we have decided to run it again this year.
“There is limited opportunity for local employers to reach the job seeking community in Droitwich; similarly, job seekers from the town, with no access to a job centre, are required to make frequent trips to Worcester to meet agencies and training providers.
“This event is therefore of great benefit to the community.”
The event is open to all job seekers and businesses attending are from a variety of sectors including healthcare and housing.
