Posters for Droitwich residents who don't want trick or treaters

Droitwich Editorial 29th Oct, 2017   0

RESIDENTS who do not want to answer the door to trick or treat callers this Halloween can pick up or download posters to stick on their front doors.

Wychavon District Council has designed the posters for people to display.

Council chiefs are urging trick or treaters to show respect and move on if they see one of the posters.

Coun Gerry O’Donnell, Wychavon’s portfolio holder for community safety, said: “We want children to have fun on Halloween, but we know from experience that some people are nervous about answering their front door to strangers, particularly at night.

“These posters are a light-hearted way to make sure that children get their treats from the houses that are happy to see them and do not cause nuisance to those who do not.”

Residents can also download the posters by visiting www.wychavon.gov.uk/no-trick-or-treaters or by visiting Wychavon’s centres in Evesham and Pershore.
