Primrose Hospice's Lights of Love raised a massive £33,165 for the cause

LAST YEAR’S Lights of Love campaign has raised a massive £33,165 for the Primrose Hospice.

The annual fundraiser – the charity’s biggest of the year – once again gave the community the chance to remember loved ones during the festive season while supporting their local hospice at the same time.

In 2025, the appeal raised the impressive amount, thanks to more than 1,500 dedications which were displayed on Christmas trees in Bromsgrove and Redditch town centres throughout November and December.

Kelly Wetherall, fundraiser at Primrose Hospice said: “I’ve been lucky enough to take care of this appeal for three years now, so it is close to my heart.

“Having a tribute to a loved one on the displays is a tradition for some that has continued for many years, while for others it will have been their first.

“We hope Lights of Love gives our community the chance to come together, to pause and to remember.”

She added she wanted to pay particular thanks to the headline sponsor Thomas Brothers Funeral Directors for its continued generous support over the years.

Primrose Hospice would like to also like to thank the dedication board sponsors, their performers, all their volunteers and most of all, everyone who donated.

The Primrose Hospice – which costs £1.95million each year so it can provide the services it offer – is always looking for people to raise funds for the cause throughout the year.
