A PROPOSAL has been put forward to form a new award presented by Droitwich’s mayor to individuals for their service to the community.
The Annual Citizens Community Award was put forward by Droitwich Spa Town Council Mayor, Councillor Kate Fellows and Coun George Duffy at a full meeting of the council on Monday, September 25.
George Duffy said: “We wanted to put something forward to celebrate a lot of the community individuals of Droitwich who put so much into the town.”
All members of the council voted in favour of the proposal.
The motion will now be put forward to the council’s community and amenities committee to discuss the wider details.
The next community and amenities committee meeting is scheduled for November 6.
