PUPILS from RGS Dodderhill in Droitwich have achieved award-winning places in a highly coveted National award at the Independent Schools Association (ISA) National Art Competition.

Isabel Duggan, Florence Stewart and Elysia Powell were placed second, second and highly commended respectively in their categories, in the national final.

Head of art at RGS Dodderhill, Rachel Hatfield said she was delighted the pupils had been so successful.

“We are a small and nurturing school, and pride ourselves in our ability to bring out the best in our pupils.

“This award is testimony to that ethos, but mostly to the hard work of the pupils involved.

“We are incredibly proud of them.”

The ISA National Arts Competitions is held annually and is open to all associated schools in the country.

There are classes to cover different age groups and genres, from 2D art, to fashion and photography.

Pupils enter a regional competition, and then the winners from each region are put through to the national final
