PUPILS at DROITWICH’S St Peter’s C of E Academy took part in a ‘Share a Story’ event where they brought in the books they loved so they could share them with their friends.
The children were also given a book token to spend at the book fair which is visiting the school.
It was a very colourful day as youngsters came as Rapunzel, the BFG, the Cat in the Hat, the Hobbit and countless other characters.
Deputy headteacher Lucy Colclough said: “World Book Day is a celebration of authors, illustrators, books and, most importantly, it’s a celebration of reading.”
