DROITWICH Police got to join Radio 1 DJ Greg James as he cycled through the town for part of his charity ride for Comic Relief.
The station’s breakfast show host is riding around 630miles (1,000km) from the south of England to Scotland.
He started the cycle in Weymouth on Friday, March 13, and will complete it this Friday, March 20, on Red Nose Day itself in Edinburgh.

As he rode through Worcestershiire, Safer Neighbourhood Team officer PC Dave Olczak had the honour of accompanying Greg who is on a tandem with other Radio 1 DJs who are taking it in turns to join him.
PC OIczak said: “I met up with him at Ross On Wye and left them at Droitwich.
“I was tired after doing just over 40 miles, but that was only half of the distance for that day for Greg.
“For a man on a heavy tandem bike, he had a good pace on him – even up those ‘killer hills’.
“The amount of people out on the roadside lining the route was absolutely amazing and I don’t think there was a gap of more than 30 seconds where I didn’t see someone cheering him on.
“Thank you to the people of Droitwich who were very well behaved (so I didn’t have to stop my bike to deal with anyone and have to try and catch Greg up again).”
PC Olzak had his own support team – PC Molly Smith and PC Dee Stanley – who also assisted with traffic management.
