THE BUSY 08.07am train service from Droitwich Spa to Birmingham New Street has been temporarily removed from the timetable due to current strike action by the ASLEF union.
The West Midlands Railway service has been suspended since July 31 as a result of the Associated Society of Locomotive Engineers and Firemen’s action short of strike, which will impact services until August 12.
West Midlands Railway have confirmed the service will resume from Monday, August 14.
Commuters who rely on the service have expressed frustration at having to arrive very early or very late to work due to the temporary removal of the service.
A West Midlands Railway spokesperson said: “Due to the impact of industrial action we are running a reduced timetables on some routes up to and including Saturday 12 August.
“Passengers are advised to check their journeys before travelling.
“Anyone whose journey is delayed by 15 minutes or more by the reduced timetable can claim compensation via Delay Repay.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
