Raising cash for good causes is on the cards at Droitwich Heritage Centre

Droitwich Editorial 10th Nov, 2019   0

WITH the festive season approaching the Cards for Good Causes pop-up shop has returned to Droitwich Heritage Centre, St Richards House.

The shop will raise funds for a range of national and local charities, including the Worcestershire Wildlife Trust, Cancer Research UK, Barnardo’s, NSPCC, Alzheimer’s Society and the RNLI.

There are hundreds of different card designs and there will also be a variety of other items on sale including advent calendars, candles, wrapping paper, gift tags, napkins and stocking fillers.

Chris Smith, who set up the shop, said it was a great and simple way for people to support good causes and, as well as the funds generated, the shop also highlighted what each one did.

At least 70p in every £1 goes to the causes and in the past ten years the scheme has raised £40million nationwide. The shop is open from 10am to 4pm Monday to Friday and between 10am and 1.30pm on Saturday.
