A DROITWICH woman is desperately trying to re-establish a dog charity which saw her raise more than £100,000 in recent years.
Sue Boone created the Jordan Bear Charity back in 2008 and collected donations to sell at car boot sales to raise funds for dog kennels.
Sue packed up and went to Cornwall where she started her own kennels but ill health and a heart attack saw her make her way back home and now she is hoping to rekindle the good work her charity was once able to do in the town and far beyond.
When the cause first started Sue focused on greyhounds and lurchers who are at risk of being killed when their racing days are done but she has since branched out to rehome any kind of dog.
Sue is now asking Droitwich residents to donate any unwanted items, from small furniture to books, clothes and even carrier bags to help them raise more money for charity, and help more animals.
She said: “We have raised about £130,000 in the past and we used to get a lot of donations, but of course after I moved it stopped.
“Now I’m back we really want to get it all up and running again and get as many donations to the cause as possible.”
To donate contact Sue on 01905 412383, 07763577148, or send items to 31 Jackdaw Lane.
