DROITWICH’S Ravenstone Care Home has shown community spirit by delivering a harvest food parcel to those who need it most.

Josie, a resident at the St Andrews Road care home, took the hamper to Droitwich Spa Foodbank last week.

The foodank is based in Droitwich Baptist Church and was founded by local churches and community groups.

It has around fifty volunteers who regularly help out.

Wendy Stokoe, manager at Ravenstone, said: “Our staff and residents put together this hamper because we feel strongly connected to our local community.

“The volunteers at the foodbank do an amazing job and we’re pleased we were able to help.”

Droitwich Foobank is open on Tuesdays 12:30-2.30pm and Fridays from 2pm-4pm.
