DROITWICH’S Tourist Information Centre is set to be closed for nearly a month, and a re-opening date back in its original venue has now been revealed.
The centre closed on Thursday (January 15) and will re-open on Monday, February 9.
Last year, the Heritage and Information Centre was temporarily relocated to the town’s council chambers, still located in St Richard’s House.
The centre has been running a reduced offering with no museum open.
The temporary closure is to enable the reconfiguration of the council chamber for meetings.
It will also allow staff to make the final preparations for the new layout of the centre.
An official opening ceremony is currently being finalised, with Droitwich Spa Town Council staff expecting it to take place during March.
A spokesperson for the centre said the re-opening was exciting news for 2026 and that they couldn’t wait to welcome people back to the brand-new facility soon.
