THIS eye-catching poppy cascade display has been installed at Droitwich Library ahead of Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day.

The poppies were all created by the town’s community.

The display will be on show until next Friday, November 14.

Droitwich Remembrance Sunday parade

Participants in the parade should muster by Droitwich Police Station / Salters Medical Centre, ready to step off at 10.35am today (Sunday, November 9).

Road closures will be in place to ensure public safety and the parade will led by 2156 (Droitwich) Air Cadets and standard bearers.

The parade will reach the War Memorial in Victoria Square in good time, ready for the service which starts at 10.45am and will be led by Rev Laura Handy.

The Remembrance Sunday Parade and Service are organised by Droitwich Royal British Legion and the town council.

Everyone is welcome to attend.

The parade will be even more poignant this year as the names of  ‘five forgotten heroes’ have been added to the Droitwich Spa War Memorial.
