THE DROITWICH Standard welcomed a new reporter to its ranks this week.
Anu Shukla is a journalist who has an MA from the University of Arts London and comes to the paper from a background in multimedia communications in the creative industries.
She is a writer and blogger and even has experience of filming events and working in broadcast news.
Anu has also launched her independent communications business, AnuKi Media. and has worked with high-profile artists, musicians and on cultural events.
A firm believer in true journalism and in protecting the public interest, Anu says: “Real grassroots community-related news has the power to inspire and make positive change, so I am absolutely thrilled to join the <i>Bromsgrove and Droitwich Standard</i> and Bullivant Media family.”
Editor Tristan Harris added: “It’s great to be able to welcome Anu to the team. I know she is raring to go to get out and about in Bromsgrove, Rubery and Droitwich to meet as many local people, groups and organisations as possible and report on what they are up to.”
