PEOPLE wanting to have a go at singing are in luck as there are new choirs launching in Redditch and Droitwich.
Got 2 Sing was established in 2011 and already has a host of choirs across the region, including one in Bromsgrove.
Now, tonight, September 17, one will start at Droitwich Spa High School and on Thursday, September 19, the Redditch choir will begin at Oakenshaw Community Centre. Both sessions will start at 7.30pm.
The choirs are open to anybody over 18 and no musical experience needed.
Cassie Abbott, the new choir leader for Droitwich and Redditch, is aiming to show the health benefits singing can bring.
She said singing helped people focus on their health and happiness, do something for yourself- to recoup that ‘feel good factor’.
“We are not just a traditional ‘stand behind the music’ type of choir- we sing and we have lots of fun in the process.”
Anyone wishing to join either choir should turn up to the venues at 7.30pm for the free taster session.
