RESIDENTS are being invited to Droitwich Library during International Stress Awareness Week to learn how pets can make a ‘pawsitive’ impact on their lives.
Locals will be given the opportunity to meet and stroke ‘Matty The Pet Therapy Dog’ who will be at the library from 10.30am on Friday, November 8.
The initiative, organised by Worcestershire County Council, aims to help reduce stress by letting locals pet a furry friend.
Matty’s owner Ruth Oliver, from charity Pets As Therapy, will also be at hand to speak to residents while they sit back and enjoy a hot cuppa.
Councillor Lucy Hodgson, council cabinet member with responsibility for communities, said: “We are keen to support Stress Awareness Week through our libraries.
“Matty is a shining example of how animals can help reduce stress and improve the lives of many people.”
Stress Awareness Week will run from from November 4 to November 8.
