THE DATE for the opening of the new Witton Post Office in Droitwich has been revealed.
The counter will be available at the Nisa, Oakland Avenue, from 1pm on August 30.
The decision to move the branch was taken after the current postmaster resigned from the previous premises in Worcester Road.
The Post Office said it had worked with the postmaster to minimise the temporary closure and had signposted people to the Droitwich town centre branch.
With the new Witton Post Office opening from 7am to 9pm Monday to Saturday and 8am to 9pm on Sunday, there will be an extra 33 hours-a-week for customers to use the services there.
