WITH another mini heatwave upon us this bank holiday weekend, the nation’s favourite ice lollies have been revealed.
The research was carried out by Gala Bingo – ranking the top 22 – from those ice-cream and chocolate based to the more fruit juiced based one.
The Magnum is popular with the over 65s with almost half of pensioners listing it their favourite.
In contrast, for younger lolly fans, the Calippo is popular with ten per cent of 18 to 24-year-olds labelling it their favourites.
When it comes to gender differences, Solero is much-preferred by women with one in 17 saying it is their favourite, compared to 1 in 25 men.

Notable omissions from the top ten include Mini Milk (12th), Rocket lolly (14th), Screwball (18th) and Ice Pop / Tip Top (21st).
