CREATIVE students from RGS Dodderhill School held their own Covid-safe ‘drive through’ cake sale to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Every September the charity usually organises its World’s Biggest Coffee Morning and 2020 was due to be the 30th year.
But, because of the pandemic, this year’s event had to be cancelled.
Instead those wanting to fund-raise for Macmillan have been urged to organise their own events with safety measures and social distancing in place so the year 11 pupils from Dodderhill have done just that and have been busy baking and putting their culinary skills to the test.
Drivers were urged to swing by and grab a cake from the variety on offer in return for a donation to the charity.
A school spokesperson said: “The year 11 girls did us proud – if there’s one thing we love doing at RGS Dodderhill, it’s a cake sale!”
